Welcome to the Hormonal Mediated Acne Course!

To understand the hormonal mediated acneic skin, one must understand the pathophysiology of this skin barrier disorder. Knowledge and understanding of the skin's structure and function surrounding the affected cells and systems, as well as knowing what topical cosmeceuticals are most suitable for this condition, will support you in your level of understanding as to how you can truly manage and achieve sustainable outcomes for this skin barrier disorder.

As with all forms of acne, there is always a hormonal component involved. The most commonly known is the increase in circulating androgens at the onset of puberty, however, age, menopause, adrenal stress, nutrition, medication and genetics also influence the endocrine system which may contribute to acne. 

In this course we will introduce you to:

• Hormones & skin
• C.acnes bacteria & porphyrins
• Pilosebaceous unit
• Sebocyte
• Enzyme 5a reductase type 1
• Stress (HPA Axis)
• Grades of acne
• The causes & triggers

Course completion & timeframe:

• The user has 6 months to complete the course content
• The user will be notified via email 5 days prior to their account being deactivated
• Deactivated users will not be able to regain access to the course content
• To reactivate your license, a fee of $19.95 will apply
• The duration of video content for this course is approximately 1 hour
